At night, walking would be the smartest thing to do from one place to another. Traffic can be really bad at night In Las Vegas so if you want to save time and money, go ahead and walk around instead. You will definitely get to your destination faster by foot. If in case you are the type of person who loves to buy a lot of things, I suggest you rent a car instead over taking the cab. It would be more practical and more convenient. Unless you have to take the cab badly, I would highly suggest that you tour around Las Vegas by foot.
As for getting the real taste of what Las Vegas has to offer, you might want to start with slot machines. You might get really get lucky and win much more than you can expect. Next off, you might want to try the roulette wheel and then you can lay a couple of chips. These are considered as baby stuff around the place so you might want to try other games such as poker.
