Is Dubai The Place To Live?

Nov 25th, 2011 Tony Hill

Over the past year or so it seems as though Dubai has become the 'it' place to live right now. Dubai has frequented the news on a number of occasions either because of misbehaving expats or because of the lavish lives the rich and famous lead over there - either way it has alerted people to the type of life they could be living themselves.

Dubai has been transformed from sandy dunes and isolate deserts to a millionaires playground. The Dubai skyline is littered with cranes as building companies race to finish their new luxurious developments and British expats move over in their hoards.

Many reports and Dubai businessmen themselves suggest that Dubai is not feeling the effects from the worldwide credit-crunch which is alerting even more people to pack-up their belongings and touch down in Dubai.

There seem to be a lot of job opportunities over there too which is a major factor in alerting people to move over to the middle east - as many people in the UK have been laid off and are desperately hunting down a new job. Dubai seems to have become a mini-media hub too with lots of magazine companies desperately recruiting for people with experience in the industry.

One thing you need to consider before you make the big move is the change in culture. Dubai is a largely Muslim country and therefore you need to consider their laws - which are very different to those in the UK. There is a different language - which could make you feel isolated at times, a different currency, everything will just feel a bit foreign.

To help yourself settle in that little bit quicker you could transport over some of your furniture, ornaments or pictures. These will help to make your new home feel a little bit more familiar and help you to settle into your new surroundings.

Moving over to Dubai can be made a lot easier if you use an international removals company. They will help you to tailor your move to suit your needs and will ensure that your goods arrive when you want them too. Make sure use choose a reputable firm as they will make sure that your effects arrive in the condition they left your home in.

It is one less thing to consider and will allow you to spend more time researching or even experiencing the new culture before you move over.

Once you move yourself and your furniture into your new home in Dubai you can concentrate on enjoying your new lifestyle.
